Can my subcontractors see my customer pricing?

No. Pricing is stripped from every response sent to the subcontractor portal. Your subcontractors only see what they need to do the job — site address, contact, waste stream, quantities — never your customer rates, never your other subcontractors, never any data they shouldn't have.

Do I need vehicles or drivers to use PaperRoute Broker?

No. PaperRoute Broker is built for brokers who don't carry waste themselves. Every job goes out to a vetted subcontractor through their own portal — they accept it, complete it, upload the WTN and photos, and you raise the invoice. You never have to touch a bin.

How are subcontractors onboarded?

You add a subcontractor with just their company name and email. They receive an invite link, set their own password, and complete a 5-step onboarding wizard themselves: company details, contact, compliance documents (waste carrier licence, public liability insurance, employer's liability), and vehicles. You're notified when they finish, with a full compliance summary in the email — including any document expiring in the next 60 days. No more chasing PDFs over WhatsApp.

What stops me assigning a job to an out-of-date subcontractor?

PaperRoute Broker blocks assignment automatically if a subcontractor's waste carrier licence or public liability insurance has expired. The job picker shows red, amber and green indicators on every subcontractor's compliance status, and the management screen flags anything expiring within 30 days. Your duty-of-care audit trail is bulletproof.

What happens if my subcontractor refuses a job mid-week?

They can decline any job from their portal — with an optional reason. The job drops straight back into your dispatch queue and the picker remembers who declined it, so you don't accidentally re-assign to the same person. You can reassign to a different subcontractor with a single click.

Are we compliant for DEFRA Digital Waste Tracking 2026?

Yes. As the broker you remain the regulated party, and PaperRoute Broker generates a compliant digital Waste Transfer Note for every collection — even though it was the subcontractor who physically did the work. When DEFRA's Digital Waste Tracking API goes live in October 2026, PaperRoute Broker will submit records directly. You're compliant on day one, not panicking in September 2026.

Where is my data hosted, and is it secure?

All data is hosted in the UK/EU on enterprise infrastructure with at-rest encryption, daily automated backups and full audit logging. Your tenant database is fully isolated from every other customer's. Compliance documents uploaded by subcontractors are stored in a private bucket — only your office team can view them.

How does the 75p per completed job work?

It's a single line on your invoice. Only jobs your subcontractor actually marks as complete in the portal are charged — declined or cancelled jobs cost you nothing. As an example, 200 completed jobs/month = £295 base + £150 = £445/month. All ex-VAT.

Is training and onboarding included?
